These plants like it wet! I had to set up my tripod in a small spring to get these shots. The flower color varies from plant to plant.

Hooker's Willow, Salix hookeriana
I found this catkin in full bloom today. Indians used to make fishing line and rope from the bark of this small tree.

Mycena stipata mushroom
Found these little 'shrooms growing on a log, poking up through a mat of moss in Dec. '08
The following picture was taken In Nov. '09 after recent rains that turned the mosses into the intensely green color shown here - I didn't Photoshop this!!
