Lungwort Lichen, Lobaria pulmonaria




A gust of wind sent this 1" diameter Maple branch crashing to the ground and took this colorful lichen along for the ride

    It's amazing that you would post this the day after my wife found a similar limb along our road with the same lichen. We hadn't gotten around to I.D. it yet. What a coincidence. Thank you again.

    We may have similar lichens on our properties but my trees are fish-free!!
