WesternTrillium, Trillium ovatum

This clump of Trilliums is annoyingly right in the pathway next to the creek on our property but the flowers make it worthwhile.
4-11-15 update:
Several years ago, this plant had just a single stock, but this year it really expanded-

    We saw a bunch of trilliums on one of our hikes this weekend! Also, skunk cabbage : )

    Yes we did! And now I know that I'm not supposed to pick the trillium flowers and that if I'm really hungry I can boil skunk cabbage (for a long time) and eat it. :)
